Media Tuner is an interesting new application that seamlessly integrates an RSS news
reader, Podcast listeners and a video blogging features. It is built using one of those new fangled RIA (rich
internet application) technologies which was touted as the best thing since sliced bread - atleast since applets,
until Google showed them with Gmail and Google Maps and catalyzed the
AJAX revolution.
Back to the application, it is decent, the Video and Audio functions work well, but refreshing the feeds takes time. Alas, You cannot maximize the window size to fill the whole screen. It is a hybrid web/desktop app that maximizes neither domain well. Perhaps, it might be better to use HTML for the application and use flash for the audio/video parts.
