The Pew Internet & American Life Project has completed a survey (PDF here) on recognition of Internet terms, revealing that only nine percent of Americans know what RSS is. (Somewhat surprisingly, a greater percentage (13 percent) understand podcasting.) But as Forrester's Charlene Li pointed out in her blog, low RSS recognition can be partly due to Yahoo! helping people use the technology without telling them what it is. [via CNET]
