Blog Searching in Clusty

The preeminent clustering search engine, Clusty, offers a Blogs tab for RSS-crawled results. Gary Price at SEW points to this and reviews Clusty's results; Clusty had escaped my radar as an important blog engine, though I have appreciated its folder-based results in other contexts. The clustering feature, which divides results into topical folders with startling effectiveness, is part of the engine's success. You can also cluster by URL, which yields clustered folders based on top-level domains—.com, .org, .net, etc.. Or, divide results by other blog engines (BlogPulse, Daypop, Feedster, Technorati, etc.) by using the Source selection in the drop-down clustering menu. Using this last feature turns Clusty into a metasearch engine.
